If Sunday supper had a soulmate, it would be my pizza. My Polpetta Pizza starts with my signature hand-tossed dough — fermented for days, stretched by hand, blistered to perfection in my traditional Acunto brick oven. Then comes the star: my famous Not Your Nonna’s Meatballs.

Yes, I said it.

No shade to Nonna — I adore her — but I took the traditional Italian meatball you grew up with, whispered “let’s take a trip to flavor paradise,” and gave it a Vecchia upgrade. Tender, perfectly seasoned, and full of love (and my top-secret technique), these meatballs shine on a base of:

  • Crushed San Marzano tomatoes
  • Fior di latte mozzarella
